The Alain Métrailler Trio
The Alain Métrailler Trio brings together three Swiss musicians with one common thread: New York. After six years in the “Big Apple,” Alain returned to Switzerland, where he quickly bonded with Noé Tavelli and Fabien Iannone, two of the most sought-after musicians on the Swiss scene, both of whom had also spent formative time in New York.
Sharing the same musical and artistic aspirations, and strongly inspired by leading international figures such as Ohad Talmor, Eric McPherson and David Virelles, with whom they collaborate regularly, the trio presents an original repertoire rooted in the jazz tradition while embracing exploration, improvisation, and the expression of their individual voices — all in service of a collective sound that is unique.
Their collaboration goes beyond the band: they are working on launching a new recording label Seeds Sounds Records, with which they’ll release their first record in 2027.
